Sony Tough cards have a pretty solid reputation, and certainly light years ahead of some competitors like Angelbird. Or so I thought for the first couple years. Unfortunately, by the 3rd year the CF Express Tybe B card started developing cracks in the plastic housing. I would expect this from typical card manufacturers known for such issues, but not from the Sony "TOUGH" lineup. This card has never left the camera or card reader and has been pampered its entire life, but simply isn't holding up long-term.

I've had insufficient experience with CFexpress to really evaluate this but part of the reason for buying was the £100 cashback. The process for claiming the cashback seems to be unnecessarily arduous; eventually I got to Condition One....cannot be applied for until 30 days after purchase. It feels as though the process is designed to make the applicant give-up, forget, or lose the VAT receipt which is required. I will see about any further conditions as they may arise after 30 days. Meanwhile I've bought a Sandisk as my second card which seems very comparable and slightly less expensive.
