Hab den Subwoofer jetzt ca. ein halbes Jahr mit der S2000 Soundbar zusammen. Der Subwoofer hat keine Verbindungsabrüche und der Bass lässt sich von -10 bis +10 einstellen. Man sollte die Sony App benutzen zum einstellen da sie viel mehr Möglichkeiten bietet als die Fernbedienung. Ich bin voll zufrieden.

I tried two units, a used one from a big box retailer and a brand new one directly from Sony. Neither could push out bass even close to my 20 year old sub with less than half the power. I went through multiple rounds of tech support only to figure out there must be a problem linking correctly to my STR-AZ5000ES. Perhaps it works better paired with a soundbar, but with an AVR, performance is unacceptable.

Bin noch mit den Einstellungen am experimentieren. Bin zufrieden, aber ggf wäre der stärkere Subwoofer SW5 noch Besser gewesen. Ich denke, wer das vebrieren des Basses unter den Füssen spühren will, muss ein anderes Model suchen. Wer keinen Stress mit den Nachbarn will, hat hier ein zufriedenstellendes Gerät. Fazit: Eine endgültige Bewertung kann ich nicht abgeben

Da du dich noch in der Testphase befindest, möchten wir dir einige Tipps zur optimalen Platzierung geben: Da der Subwoofer keine Richtcharakteristik aufweist, kannst du ihn flexibel im Raum aufstellen. Oft verstärkt eine Positionierung näher an einer Wand oder in einer Ecke die Basswahrnehmung deutlich.
Für einen optimalen Raumklang empfehlen wir dir zudem, im Einstellmenü deines kompatiblen Hauptgeräts die Entfernung des Subwoofers zu deiner Hörposition genau zu konfigurieren.

A very good Subwoofer! Discrete for its size although I have a small living room. At maximum volume, the whole floor is vibrating , so I keep it to 3 or 4 volume level. I have it with the Sony Bravia 8 Theater soundbar.

Great addition to the HT-A3000 soundbar to add better bass to an already good sound produced by the sound bar and TV. Extremely easy to set up as it automatically added itself to the soundbar via WiFi, I just ensured the soundbar was switched on when powering on the Subwoofer for the first.

Disappointing reliability, mediocre performance.

Bought two entire systems; one for myself and one for my parents. This subwoofer completely faulted and wouldn’t turn on for my parents 9 months after the purchase, and did the same thing to myself 1 year and 3 months after purchase. On day 1 I noticed drastic weakness in performance of my subwoofer to my parents and after completely not turning on not long after purchase, it was 3 months out of warranty; leaving me at liability to fix an apparent common issue with this unit. As a whole the HT5000 is mediocre, with the rear speaker RS3S being extremely weak. I’m upset with the fact that I decided to set up this and in general a Sony system in my living room. I am a huge audio guy with a home theatre in one of my rooms (Jamo system) and an insane mancave in my garage (JBL system) and have never had any issues, but with this system it’s been nothing but issues. Therefore never going Sony again. This system has ultimately been overpriced garbage.

I bought this sub woofer to accompany the wonderful Sony Theatre Quad surround sound system. I've seen reviews which indicated that only the SW5 would be man enough for the job but, in our 15x15 foot room the excellent SW3's are more than good enough. The integrate brilliantly with the four Quad speakers and provide a seamless, rich, deep, base. I could not be more pleased with my choice of sub woofer for this absolutely amazing surround/atmos Sony system.

There isn’t much to say about a sub, at least for the majority of users, if it thumps well and is able to produce a good range of bass then it’s great. This Sony sub does that well, it’s great for most home cinema experiences, it will give you the rumbling lows and nice 808s. I bought the 200 watt sub and it’s almost overkill, but of course if you want far more bass then opt for the 300 watt.

I bought the Theatre Bar 9 thinking it would have enough bass, but it didn't quite do it for me. I am in the UK and I have Sky Q. I watched Dune 2 in UHD HDR and wow this subwoofer makes a massive difference. Definitely worth buying if it's on your radar. Sky Q also provide an HDR tutorial where you test each speaker component in the Bar 9 and subwoofer, so I definitely know it works great. You just have to make sure you are watching the right content.

Bisher betrieb ich meinen Bravia-TV mit einer Sony Soundbar HT-S2000. Ich wollte aber etwas mehr Bass und habe dann während des Black Friday zugeschlagen. € 309,-. Einrichtung super einfach. Gerät wurde sofort erkannt und hat sich drahtlos direkt verbunden. Über die Bravia-App habe ich dann das Basslevel auf Max. gedreht, weil ich Bässe mag. :-) Schön fände ich aber trotzdem, wenn am Subwoofer selbst noch ein Drehregler zur Basseinstellung wäre. Für meinen Geschmack dürfte es noch mehr sein. Aber ist ok. Besser als ohne. Ich muss das Ganze mal mit mehr Gesamtlautstärke probieren und oder mit einem Film mit ordentlich Bums. Alles in Allem finde ich das Teil trotzdem für die Leistung ein wenig zu teuer. Vielleicht bin ich auch zu blöd um das Teil richtig einzurichten. ;-)

I purchsed this subwoofer to go with my HT-A9 surround system. Setup was easy, it sounded good with those speakers. A few months later it stopped powering on. Nothing I could do could fix it, and getting support from Sony is terrible. Probably wouldn't buy again.

Check the power indicator on the subwoofer. If the power indicator on the subwoofer does not light, make sure the AC power cord (mains lead) of the subwoofer is connected properly. Press the power button of the subwoofer to turn on the power.
If the issue is still unresolved, the best course of action is to connect with our Product Support directly, so they can diagnose the issue and find the best method to help you. I brought this device the base is very poor I tried speaking to customer service to change product no help at all. I was supposed to get phone call from a manager help me change the product but didn’t get a call back. So I have given up and worst money spent

Ich habe den Subwoofer zusätzlich zu meiner Bravia Theatre Bar 8 gekauft. Das Bassfundament ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Sounds, von daher macht es den Gesamteindruck aller Komponenten erst richtig rund. Zudem ist der Bass nicht aufdringlich, er kommt Präzise knackig wenn er gefordert wird. Typisch Sony !! und knackig wenn er soll. Einfach ein tolles Extra !

Nach Kauf des subwoofers war ich extrem positiv überrascht. Ordentlich Bums im Wohnzimmer. Nach einigen Wochen sagte meine Frau" was sind das für komische Geräusche? ". Es kam knattern und andere unbeschreibbare Geräusche aus dem Subwoofer. Aus Foren habe ich herausgefunden, dass dies passiert, wenn sich an der Konfiguration irgendwas ändert. Man soll die Lautsprecher einfach initialisieren. Danach war wieder gut. Leider trat das nach wenigen Tagen erneut auf, so dass der Subwoofer jetzt bei der Reparatur ist. Kann mir aber nicht vorstellen, dass dieses beseitigt wird, weil es halt nicht ständig ist und sicherlich schwer zu finden ist. Sollte mich die Werkstatt positiv überraschen, werde ich die Bewertung ändern

I’m really happy that this completes my set. I have the A5000 soundbar, the SW3 subwoofer, and the RS5 rear speakers. It’s a great combo and offers a pretty great sound. My only complaint is the bass is very rumbly and not super clear. I can’t really put it above 5 and the options go up to 12. I’m not sure why it’s like this. I know this is the lesser of the two subwoofers if anybody reads this and has any tips, I would appreciate the help. Overall, I think the whole system is great and I’m pretty happy with it. I just wish the base was clear instead of rumbling and mumbling.
