Sony - please provide PictBridge support for the NEX-5

It would be great to have the option of being able to print directly using the PictBridge system.

Especially when you just want to generate something very rapidly for friends using on an 'instant' printer like the Polaroid PoGo.

Could Sony please provide this in any new Firmware support for the NEX-5 please.

 

(Thanks Sony for Eye-Fi compatibility - it works like magic in streaming pictures)

    Is there any information about why Sony hasn't implemented this (for me) quite important feature in its newer models?

    Any simple digital camera available for 100 Euros or less has the PictBridge option...

    Although not a function I use, I was surprised to learn it is not on the new NEX range of products.  It also seems to be absent form the new SLT-A33 and SLT-A55 cameras.

     

    While I am not in a position to promise anything, I have reported it back to the product group who will hopefully be able to offer an explanation.  So watch this space.
