Hi, sound bar connected to tv's hdmi1/arc port, Marantz amplifier to sound bar's hdmi - as instructed. No sound delivered to Marantz. Works if Marantz connected directly to tv's hdmi1/arc port. Any ideas how to solve the problem? bw Janne.

Hi,

as far as i can make out this cannot be done nor is it meant to be, the sound bar has its own power system. are you trying to get the tv to sound better?, the best way for this is to use a digital optical cable from your tv to your amp, the only thing your meant to connect to HDMI in on the sound bar is your cable provider box or such.
