XDR-DS2iP won't play iPod/iPhone

I have a DAB iPod/iPhone docking system (XDR-DS2iP). Now it will charge my iPod/iPhone but won't play any music. To the best of my knowledge it hasn't been mishandled or damaged so has anyone else had this problem and how did they resolve it?

I might add it worked fine until recently and is nearly a year old now so I'm disappointed to say the least and I can't find the receipt either to take it back to the Sony shop I bought it from!

Val
