A35 stuck in autofocus with SAL35F18

I've recently bought the SAL35F18 for my Alpha A35 but have found that when in manual shooting mode the camera still trys to autofocus. I press the shutter button and you can hear the AF motor whirring even though it is not operating the lens. Both the switches on the lens and body are on MF but it still won't get out of AF mode. I can still manual focus but it won't take the picture unless the Autofocus believes the shot is in focus. Also I don't get this problem with any other lens i've tried on the body. Is this a problem with the body, the lens or is it a quick fix? Any help would be appiricated : )

Ah that's good to know thanks The auto focus is fine and the scratch has only shown up in 1 photo when shooting inside, but I also found that when pointing into the sun I get a strange defraction from what i assume is the scratch. I'll get in touch with Nedis and BSS and see what can be sorted out, thank you both so much for your help

Hi Thalamus thanks for the quick reply I'll give Nedis a call in the week and ask, another thought would the Mirror from an A33/55/65 etc still fit?

Hi all.

I've somehow managed to get 2 scratches on the Mirror on my A35 and need to get a replacement. Normally the marks don't show up on photos but I'd still like a replacement mirror for peace of mind, the problem is nowhere seems to sell replacement mirrors even though I've seen videos of people replacing them. So if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated
