Oh my oh my could the recent announcement possibly be a reason we have dark patches on our screens ? heat damage from the faulty components , oh boy do i hope so !

Its amazing that this thread continues to grow almost daily with people complaining about the very same defect on the very same model, yet sony still state that it is unheard of .....

Are you serious Sony , get a grip and admit that this device has a manufacturing defect.

This will not go away , more and more will come with the same issue.

Adnit the fault before the consumer groups pick up on this as many of us are reporting the issue to them and urging the new people that arrive here with this issue to do the same.

You cant sweep this under the carpet and hope it goes away.

The day Sony acknowledge the manufacturing defect with the KDL-V4000 is the day i eat my hat.

As it wasted stated earlier in this thread , the V series was the cheaper of the 3 series thus it is highly likely that more was sold of the V series and would be far more costly for Sony to admit a manufacturing defect with this model.

What a joke this is,

the V3000 model clearly has a manufacturing defect.

Its no coincidence that so many people are reporting the same issue.

This is not user damage , this is TV's that have degraded in a very short space of time which is not acceptable for the amount of time the TV's have been in service.

You cannot deny to these people Sony that this is a random occurance,

It appears that the Streak/Shadow issue is really beginning to rear its ugly head for most people who purchased the TV in 2008 and into 2009.

Hopefully more and more people will continue to come forward with this problem.
