frefickle: Do You have the exact same TV and receiver?

I heard from sony Center that there are firmware upgrades for the tv AND the receiver, but these upgrades are not listed on the Sony support web site...

The same problem happened earlier with Sony's products:

I must have the exact same problem.

But there is no firmware update for my receiver.

Hello

I just bought the STR-DA2400ES receiver and I am trying to connect it to my KDL-46W300 tv with a Sony HDMI cable.

The problem is that there is no picture delivered from the receiver to the tv.

When I connect with a component-cable I get the receiver interface on the tv, but not with HDMI.

When I try the receiver on my bedroom-tv (KDL-24EX325) everything seems fine with HDMI.

I have a PS3, an Apple tv and a digital-tv-box connected to the tv with HDMI and they all work.

So there is nothing wrong with the receiver's ability to deliver signal through the HDMI output (tested on the bedroom tv).

So there is nothing wrong with the tv's HDMI inputs (tested with PS3 etc).

It's the combination of the STR-DA2400ES with the KDL-46W300 that doesn't work.

What can be the problem?

Are they incompatible? (both Sony, strange)...

They are both HDMI 1.3.

Is this acceptible?

Any thoughts anyone?
